PBK: An Introspective Spiritual Intensive

Have you said to yourself:

I wish I knew how to get started?

I don’t feel skilled or experienced enough to come out to events?

How can I find and build community?

People come to us when they find themselves “stuck.”  People are wanting more out of their life, their work, or their relationships but they can’t seem to get out of their own head.   Through a unique and proven process, people recognize their strengths, reconcile their shortcomings, and feel fantastic about, not only today, but, more importantly, tomorrow. It allows them to feel ready to come out, find other like-minded folks and begin the meaningful journeys they have always longed for

Who is this for?: This intensive is for anyone interested in a hands-on experience that will open you up to your full potential, both as an individual and as part of a community,

What problems do we solve?

Understanding yourself

Connecting genuinely with others

How to be vulnerable and not get hurt

How to engage in kink without fear

How do we solve them?

Guiding you through meaningful introspection

Bringing together folks who commit to this process for themselves

Peeling away the mystery of kink and bdsm to make it accessible

What does this program promise you? A life-changing experience. You will:

  • Gain Confidence:

Lose the distorting lenses of shame and isolation

Ask for what you want

Become able to say yes and no

  • Make Connections:

See that others have similar thoughts and feelings

You will be able to see and been seen, hear and be heard

Be vulnerable and compassionate with yourself and others

  • Create Community:

You will show up authentically and others will do the same

You will experience genuine connection

The connections you make will potentially last a lifetime

Our process revolves around 5 key points. We use the acronym ICAVS to make it easy to remember:

Introspection – This is an opportunity to dive deeper into yourself. This process will cut right into the middle of who you are.Introspection at this level empowers you, through a unique process of self-awareness. Before the workshop, you will receive a package that walks you through a path of introspection. It will help you find specific and valuable information about yourself. It will also provide you with words to articulate your thoughts and feelings, something we are generally not taught. Self-knowledge is the foundation of our program.

Container – Containers create safe spaces to be with yourself and others. People experience being seen and heard as well seeing and listening. These are skills that change people’s lives

Actualization – As we dive deeper into who we really are, we find we have permission to remove all the obstacles that hold us back. This process is a space to discover and become your true, authentic self.

Vulnerability – Deeply meaningful connections require vulnerability. The magic of this intensive comes from those who attend. People feel safe, so can be who they are and share themselves with others in a new way.

Safety – This is a safe and educational environment for this immersive experience. In this judgment-free space, folks create safety for themselves and others, both for the intensive and for their lives moving forward.

This program has everything you need to get you to the root of your identity, as you are today. And it all happens in an environment of vulnerability, safety and trust. The entire process is free of judgment and agenda. This allows you to leave the workshop with valuable skills you will have practiced, freeing you to integrate them in all areas of your life.

Previous attendants say:

This experience was life changing!  This intensive is very well designed to make you discover parts of yourself you didn’t know existed.  The collective is very knowledgeable and incredibly approachable.  I can’t wait to further explore the BDSM aspect of my life and be a part of the next generation.  Thank you so much for this opportunity! – T.W.

I think I came into this with the idea we’d be exploring kink and kink in relation to ourselves and it would be kind of so much play. And it was, but it was also so much more than that! Just from the beginning, connecting in the circle and then getting into topics that I don’t even talk about with my therapist left me so raw but so light that it could’ve been a journey all on its own for two days. But then it was like “but wait! There’s more!” And that more was also mind blowing. I loved the teaching style that you all have to make something that could be scary so much fun while also pushing me out of my comfort zone the few times that I tried to retreat back to it. I can’t wait for the next intensive and other events! – Earlene

Transformative and transcending are two words that come to mind when I think of my experience at pbk. Everything felt safe and it was safe because the container created made it so. I would recommend this to every one of my friends and families. – Trish

This is the fourth PBK intensive I’ve experienced with my partner.  We have found PBK events to be welcoming, safe spaces for both of us to explore and grow.  Every time I attend, I learn something new about myself and my partner – and I believe the same is true for him.  Because so much emphasis is placed on the personal understanding and growth of the participants, each intensive is always a little different.  This particular weekend helped open me up to the playful side of kink and appreciate more clearly the connections between my creative spirit, my sexuality and my attractions to – and past fears about – kink.  I’ve lived much of my life clinging to rules and principles because I’ve told myself they’ll keep me safe.  Over time, the PBK programs and philosophy have helped me see that the only true safety lies in learning to hear and trust the truth that lives inside me.  This weekend has helped me take another step on that journey. – David
